William Michael Brolsma

Born May 9, 1953, son of Lloyd and Florine (Hendriks) Brolsma, passed away September 15 th , 2024, at Methodist Hospital in Rochester Minnesota. Bill grew up in Sherburn, MN and attended elementary school and graduated from Sherburn High School, Class of 1971. He served in the USAF from 1971-1975. After serving in the military, he worked for the USPS for over 30 years, first as a letter carrier, then as a Postal supervisor at the Rochester Post office, and then Postmaster of the Fairmont Post office. He moved back to Rochester and was the Postmaster of the Rochester Post office until his retirement in 2019.

Bill married his wife Corinne Ehlers on September 30, 1978, and made their home in Fairmont, and then in Rochester and were blessed to celebrate 45 years of marriage together. He devoted his life to his family, his career, and his enduring faith in God. In his spare time, he loved to garden and spend time working on wood projects for his family. He was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Fairmont, and Redeemer Lutheran Church in Rochester. His message to his family and friends was that "God is good all the time."

Bill is survived by his wife Corinne of Rochester, MN, children Brady (Kelsey) Brolsma and Kara (Christopher) Passmore, both of Rochester, and his Granddaughter Harper Brolsma (Brady, Kelsey). Also, survived by his mother Florine Brolsma of Sherburn, his brother Tom (Marcia) of Morristown MN, brother-in-law Mark (Paula) Ehlers of Maple Grove, and nieces and nephews Morgan and Brad Ehlers, and Tanner and Katie Brolsma

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, father Lloyd Brolsma, brother James Brolsma, and many aunts, uncles.

A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, September 23, 2024, at Redeemer Lutheran Church with Pastor Adam Koglin officiating. Visitation to be held one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will be in Minnesota State Veteran's Cemetery in Preston, MN.
