The funeral for Wava L. Berg will be at 11:00AM Wednesday July 7, 2010 at Macken Funeral Home with Rev. Andrew Nelson officiating.  Visitation will take place one hour prior to the service on Wednesday.  Burial will be in Grandview Memorial Gardens.

Mrs. Berg, 98, of Rochester passed away on July 1, 2010 at Samaritan Bethany Nursing Home.

Wava was born October 26, 1911 in Berne, Minnesota to Chas and Nettie Zeller.  She married Emil Berg and later divorced.  She worked at Michaels and Fun City as a waitress for many years.  She enjoyed summers in Lake City, playing cards and bingo, and spending time with family and many friends.

Survivors include grandchildren Pam (James) Rosemark of Rochester, Scott (Carrie) Berg of Rochester and Sue (Rick) Hibbing of Inver Grove Heights, MN.  She is also survived by a daughter-in-law Barb Berg of Rochester and eight great grandchildren and eight great-great grandchildren.  She is preceded in death by her two sons David and Donald Berg and 2 brothers.

Memorials are preferred to the American Cancer Society.
