Tracy Allen Macken, age 51, passed away unexpectedly on December 29, 2015 at Mayo Clinic Hospital, St. Marys Campus following a medical emergency.

Trace was born on February 27, 1964 in Rochester to Stephen and Jennifer (Winters) Macken. He graduated from Mayo High School in 1982. He began working for Mayo Clinic Rochester at the age of 16 and was employed there at the time of his passing. In 1988 he married Dawn Jensen in Rochester. They were later divorced. Together, they raised three amazing sons. Trace loved his family, spending countless hours at his sons' hockey and baseball games. He was a self-proclaimed speed enthusiast, who enjoyed every type of racing especially getting behind the wheel of his go-kart.

He is survived by his three sons Derrick (Lindsay), Jason, and Aaron, and their mother (Trace's long-time friend) Dawn Macken, all of Rochester, his girlfriend Jennie Stankey of Pine Island, his mother Jennifer Winters of Elk Horn, Iowa, his sister Kim (Jay) Fiek of Rochester, his grandmother Beverly Donaldson of Rochester, and numerous extended family members.

He is preceded in death by his father Stephen, and his grandfather James Macken.

A Funeral Service for Trace will be held at 10:30AM on Monday, January 4, 2016 in the River Park Chapel at Macken Funeral Home officiated by Pastor Mark Schwartz. Visitation will be held from 1:00pm until 4:00pm on Sunday, January 3, 2016 in the River Park Chapel at Macken Funeral Home along with one hour prior to the service.
