Tonia Rose Trom, 84, of Rochester, MN, died Monday, October 26, 2020, in her home.
Tonia was born September 28, 1936, in Lamont, Alberta Canada to Antone Joseph and Sarah Armenta (Gwaltney) Krahulec. She graduated in 1954 from Owatonna High School and completed her Business Degree before opening a dance studio where she taught dance lessons. On May 3, 1959, she married Lloyd (Bud) Trom from Blooming Prairie. They built their house at Windsor Chase Drive in Rochester, MN where they lived and raised three children. Bud passed away in 1986 and she remarried David Martin and moved to Florida. She eventually divorced and moved back to Rochester where she was been living ever since.
Tonia enjoyed writing poetry, painting, gardening, and spending time with her kids and grandchildren.
She is survived by her daughters, Saundra Corliss Jacquet (Jean Pierre) of Burnsville MN and Sally Trom (Tony) of Rochester MN; son, Mitchell (LeAnne) Trom of Eyota, MN; four grandchildren; and four great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, parents, and her sister.
An informal gathering will take place this Sunday, November 8, 2020 at the Eagles Club in Rochester from 2 to 4 pm.
