Todd H. Unger - Rochester

Todd Howard Unger, 53, of Rochester, MN, died suddenly of natural causes on Friday, July 3, 2026.

Todd was born on July 30, 1972, in Rochester, MN to Howard and Violet Darlene (Kinyon) Unger. He graduated from Dodge Center High School in 1990. He spent much of his career in the local food service industry, most notably serving as a manager at Grandma’s Kitchen for many years. Most recently, he worked for Rochester Public Schools.

Todd lived in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, for two years, where he thoroughly enjoyed golfing on some of the world's finest courses. An avid golfer throughout his life, he proudly celebrated making a hole-in-one.

He is survived by his wife, Selam; daughter, Sophia; sister, Christina; and a large extended family of nieces, nephews, and in-laws. He is preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Mo; and his sisters, Maureen and Linda.

The funeral services will be held starting at 10:00 a.m. Monday, July 13, 2026, with a Devotion Service in the River Park Chapel at Macken Funeral Home. At 10:30 a.m. there will be time for sharing memories followed by a visitation from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Burial will take place in Grandview Memorial Gardens and family and friends are encouraged to come together for a luncheon immediately following in the River Park Reception Hall at Macken Funeral Home.
