Azarcon
August 11, 1941 – November 20, 2019
Tita Azarcon (Laure) age 78 of Rochester went to be with the Lord on November 20, 2019. She was born August 11, 1941 in Surigao City, Philippines to Apolonio and Josefa (Parpan) Laure.
Tita graduated high school from Northeastern Mindano College and received her Bachelor's Degree in Finance from University of Visayas in Cebu. After graduation Tita moved to Manila and worked at Philippines Veterans Bank. Before immigrating to the U.S., she worked at NAWASA (Philippines Waterworks System).
While in Manila she met Torcuato Azarcon Jr. They were married October 25, 1969 in Manila. Together they had three children, Michelle, Michael, and Tizza. On June 30, 1990 the family immigrated to Rochester, Minnesota.
She worked at Woolworth Department Store in downtown Rochester before returning to Winona Technical School for hairstyling. Tita went on to work at Cost Cutters in the Apache Mall.
Tita enjoyed sewing, reading, shopping for shoes and purses, spending time at the beach and swimming.
She is survived by her children, Michelle, Michael (Maribeth), Tizza; and sister, Josefina.
Tita was preceded in death by her husband; parents; and brother, Reynaldo.
The Funeral Mass for Tita will be at 11:00 a.m. Monday, November 25, 2019 at Resurrection Catholic Church in Rochester with Rev. Shawn Haremza officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the Mass. Immediately following the Mass at church all are welcome to join Tita's family for a luncheon in the River Park Chapel at Macken Funeral Home.
