Timothy “Tim” Willis Verdick, 64, of Rochester, Minnesota, passed away at his home on September 28, 2026, after a battle with lung cancer, surrounded by his loved ones.

Tim was born on September 4, 1962, in Rochester, Minnesota, to Willis and Alta (Nelson) Verdick. He grew up in Rochester and graduated from Mayo High School in 1980.

On August 8, 1987, Tim married Candy Wayne. Although they later divorced, Tim and Candy remained close friends and an important part of each other’s lives.

Tim worked in Environmental Services at Saint Marys Hospital in Rochester for 45 years.

Tim loved the simple things in life. He was an avid reader and rarely went anywhere without a book nearby. He enjoyed camping, fishing, and spending time outdoors, especially time spent at the family cabin on Clam Lake in Siren, Wisconsin. Most of all, Tim treasured time with his family, especially his children and grandchildren.

Tim is survived by his daughter, Stacy May, and grandchildren, Zoie and Codie; his son, Matthew Verdick (Jennifer), and grandchildren, Adalida and Locklan; his former wife and longtime friend, Candy Verdick; his siblings, Tom Verdick (Dee), Ruth Reicks (Wayne), and Todd Verdick; as well as his nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Willis and Alta Verdick.

A Celebration of Life will be held Friday, October 2, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Chester Woods Park, Pavilion 6, 8378 Highway 14 East, Eyota, Minnesota 55934.
