Timothy "Tim" Allen Parker – Winona
Tim Parker, 63, of Winona, MN, formerly of Chicago, IL, died on February 25, 2020 at his residence in Winona, MN. Tim is much beloved by his children, siblings, and grandchildren and will be greatly missed. Tim was born November 13, 1956 in Chicago, IL to Andrew Parker and Elizabeth Parker (nee' Jendrzejczyk). In the past, Tim was a resident of Rochester & Austin, MN as well as Chicago, IL.
Former spouse of Leann Parker (nee' Harwick) of Ramsey, MN. Tim moved to Rochester after serving in the Air Force to be near his mother and family that resided there, and he was a resident for many years. Later, Tim moved to Dexter, MN, and Austin, MN, where he worked at Hormel as a supervisor for many years. Most recently, Tim moved to Winona, where he worked in sheet-metal fabrication, until his recent retirement.
Survivors include: his sons Kyle (Lindsey) Parker, Sean (Jessica) Parker, Ryan Parker, all residents of Minnesota, and Mathew Lopez (son from a previous marriage) resident of the Philippines; a sister, Gail Parker of Charlotte, NC, and a brother, Michael Parker of Fremont, CA; and several grandchildren. Preceded in death by his parents, and two brothers, Jerome Parker of Stewartville, MN, and Kenneth Parker of Rochester, MN.
Tim had a love of gardening and animals, in particular, dogs and his green parrot. He enjoyed a good joke and a drink with friends.
The funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, March 5, 2020 at Saint Francis of Assisi Church in Rochester, MN. Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 4 in the River Park Chapel at Macken Funeral Home (1119 11 ½ St SE Rochester) and one hour prior to the service on Thursday. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery in Rochester with Military Honors provided by the American Legion, Post 92. There will be a luncheon at the church immediately following the burial.
Memorials are suggested to the Society of St.Vincent de Paul or The American Lung Association .
May Tim find eternal peace in Our Heavenly Father's embrace.
