Thomas Richard "Tom" Teal, 76 of Rochester, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, on February 4, 2021 at Methodist Hospital.

Tom was born on July 5, 1944 in Baudette, MN to Cleman and Verma (Olson) Teal. As a young boy, his family moved to Thief River Falls, MN where he graduated from high school. He then attended the University of North Dakota, graduating with a BS in Electrical Engineering. He accepted a job with IBM Rochester, and moved to town. On August 24, 1968, he married Barbara Lynaugh at St. Pius X Catholic Church in Rochester. Together, they raised two boys. He retired from IBM after over 32 years. He then worked for Western Digital and Pemstar. Tom played hockey starting at a young age, through high school. He loved spending time with his grandchildren, was an excellent woodworker, loved fishing, and trips to the casino.

He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Barb of Rochester, sons Tony (Audra) Teal, Matt (Angela) Teal both of Rochester; grandchildren Abby, Andy, Khloe, Mason; and brother Brad "Pud" (Pat) Teal of Surprise, AZ.

He is preceded in death by his parents, his twin brother Tim, and his older sister Barb.

The Memorial Service for Tom will be held on Wednesday, February 10, 2021 at 11:00AM in the River Park Chapel at Macken Funeral Home. Visitation will begin one hour prior to the service at the Chapel. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Rochester, MN.
