The funeral for Thomas B. Clawson will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday April 16, 2013 in River Park Chapel at Macken Funeral Home with Pastor Michael Wuehler officiating. Visitation will be one hour before the service on Tuesday at the funeral home. There will be a private family burial at Oakwood Cemetery.

Mr. Clawson, 89, of Rochester, MN. , died Thursday April 11, 2013 at St. Marys Hospital in Rochester.

Tom was born July 25, 1923 in Winona, MN, to Percy and Esther Ziwicki Clawson. He graduated from Rochester High School. On September 16, 1944, he married Ruth Molloy in Rochester. Tom was the chief engineer license for the Franklin Heating Station for the Mayo Clinic. Tom was a U.S. Army Veteran, member of Christ United Methodist Church in Rochester, the Eagles Club, and the American Legion.

Survivors include his wife Ruth, daughter Marty (Dennis) Hester of Dodge Center; son James (MaryLou) Clawson of Rochester; grandchildren Gregory (Shannon) Clawson of Sioux Falls, SD; Jeffrey Clawson of LaCrosse, WI; Eric Hester of New York City; Dan (Tammy) Hester of Pine Island: Craig (Jasmine) Hester of Kasson, MN.; eight great grandchildren ; two great great grandchildren; sister Mary (Roger) Jackman of Palo Alto, CA. Tom was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, and two sisters.
