Terrance E. "Terry" Elliott of Rochester passed away on March 26, 2014. Terry was born August 20, 1947 to Gordon and Thelma (McCabe) Elliott in Preston, Minnesota. He graduated from Harmony High School where he was active in football, track and excelled in pole vaulting. He joined the Army in 1967 and served with the Co. A 1 st Bat. 69 th Armor in Vietnam. On March 14, 1971 he married Susan Maiers and they were later divorced. After his military service he worked at Tuohy Furniture in Chatfield where he added to his woodworking skills. Later he worked for Stone-Rock Tenn in Rochester for 37 years.
Terry is survived by his daughter Kathryn Elliott of Phoenix, AZ; granddaughter, Elizabeth Dallas of Phoenix, AZ; brothers, Bill (Judy) Elliott of Backus, MN, Jim (Cheryl) Elliott of Harmony, Garry (Cathy) Elliott of Decorah, Larry (Jean) Elliott of Plainview, Jon (Deb) Elliott of Canton and sisters; Susan (Roy) Davis of New Richland, WI, Joan (Chuck) Murphy of Stewartville, Rita (Jeff) Moen of Chatfield and Mary (Jeff) St. Mane of Eyota. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews who loved their Uncle Terry.
Terry also had what we always called his 2 nd family from the 63 Club. He enjoyed their company, friendship, playing pool, bowling, helping out with their woodworking/carpentry projects, and golfing buddies. They were always watching out for him and were there when needed.
Terry was preceded in death by his parents, brother Dick Elliot, sister Martha Elliott and infant son Christopher Elliott.
A celebration of Terry's life will be held at 12:30pm on Friday, April 4, 2014 in the River Park Chapel, Macken Funeral Home. There will be a visitation prior to the ceremony from 11:30am to 12:30pm. Burial will be at State Line Cemetery, Harmony, MN.
