Tanya Burt, 47, of Byron, passed away peacefully after a courageous battle with cancer in Rochester, MN; on August 17, 2009.

Tanya was born August 20, 1961.  Her passions in life were spending time with her children and grandchildren, fishing and her job as a waitress at the Canadian Honker.

Tanya is survived by her children; Charlie (Bambi) Burt of Hammond; Brandon Burt of Oronoco; Jacob, Krystyna, and Joshua Burt all of Byron; her grandchildren Katelyn and Kolten Burt and Rebecca Barnett; sisters Ruth Ann (Gregg) Singer of Cannon Falls, Machelle (Don) Griffin of Creedmoor, NC; brother Thomas (Kelly) Perry of Rochester, MN.  She was preceded in death by her mother Betty Perry.

A Celebration of Life gathering will be held Monday, August 24, 2009 at the Rochester International Event Center from 5:00 – 8:00 PM.  A private family burial service will be held at a later date.

Memorials are preferred to the Booker Mini Foundation at 415 3rd Ave SE, Rochester, MN 55904.  Macken Funeral Home is assisting the family.
