Susan Carol Wondrasch, 62, of Rochester, MN, died January 14, 2021 at her home surrounded by family.

Susan was born August 8, 1958 in Rochester to Gordon and Jeanne (Irish) Hammel. She graduated from Plainview High School in 1976. On October 21, 1978, she married Dewey Wondrasch at Our Saviors Lutheran Church in Eyota.

Sue worked for Mayo Clinic for many years prior to retirement. She enjoyed gardening and baking. She was a longtime member of Redeemer Lutheran Church and loved serving as a Christ Care Leader within the church. Sue knew she was loved by Jesus.

Sue is survived by her husband, Dewey; two sons, Scott (Sarah) of Denver, CO, and Connor (Brittany) of St. Louis, MO; four grandchildren, Miles, Avery, Jordan, and Sophia; mother, Jeanne (Kenneth) Schmoll; six siblings, Karen (Bob) Smith of West Concord, MN, Dave (Diane) Hammel of Mazeppa, MN, Cindy Hammel of Rochester, MN, Dan Hammel of Eyota, MN, Joanne (Keith) Burke of Loves Park, IL, and Blaine Austad Jr. of Eau Claire, WI.

She was preceded in death by her father, Gordon Hammel.

The memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, January 21, 2021 at Redeemer Lutheran Church with Rev. Adam Koglin officiating. Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 20, 2021 in the River Park Chapel at Macken Funeral Home.
