Susan Marie Schilling was born January 16, 1958, to Wallace and Vivian Hood. 

She passed away peacefully on June 27, 2026. Susan was united in marriage to Thomas J. Schilling on May 16, 1981, in Wanda, Minnesota. Together they raised four children on their family farm two miles south of Wanda. Susan will be remembered as a generous soul who always put others before herself. Above all else, she loved her family and shared a special bond with her children and grandchildren. 

She cherished time spent at Lake Ida, enjoyed life on the farm, and treasured quiet mornings on her porch with a cup of coffee. Family holidays and gatherings were among her greatest joys. Susan found her passion when she founded Vivian Grace Creations, where she created beautiful floral collections dedicated to the people she loved. Her entrepreneurial spirit shone through as her business grew, allowing her to share her creativity and passion with so many others. 

She is survived by her loving husband, Thomas J. Schilling of Wanda; her children, Jesse and Tiffany of Mankato, Lindsey and Zach of Rochester, and Jon and Christa of Sanborn; her beloved grandchildren, Lincoln, Taylor, Cooper, Kendall, Evan, Aubrey, Brady, and Joe. 

She was preceded in death by her beloved daughter, Leah Schilling. 

A Celebration of Susan's Life will be held on Sunday, July 5, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Wanda Legion, 114 Main St, Wanda, MN. A prayer service will begin at 6:00 p.m.
