Obituary

Steven Michael King was born January 19th, 1970, in Austin, Minnesota to Edwin R and Annette King of Owatonna, Minnesota. Steve graduated from Washington high school in 1989 in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, where he had lived the majority of his life.

Genuine and carefree, his conversations always were meant for laughter and usually intended to make others feel good, He strived to Be Completely Unique from others and always rushed for the chance to live his best life on his terms.

Growing up, his fascination with klowns came from the Stephen King novels, some of the only reading he enjoyed. And if you were to ever ask him, Klown is with a "K"

He was very recreational- camping, hunting, fishing was his all-time favorite! Anything for that walleye! Gardening, outdoor living, and landscaping were some of his more recent focused hobbies.

"Measure twice, cut once" He was good with many things wood, auto, and an all-around handy man of sorts.

Recently he started seeking more time with his family, having more frequent conversations with his mother, many new projects and plans with his brother, and more time with his son and grandson.

You didn't know Steve if you didn't know he was a biker. This was the air he breathed. He lived it! The connections he made were everything to him. YOU were ALL family!

Even with his free-spirited personality he was extremely hardworking, and reliable. Within his work life he always showed up and gave it everything.

He had the best laugh, you would never forget.

He loved his son. Though he wouldn't say it to many, he was joyful of the accomplishments and choices he has made in his life to be himself against the odds and to choose happiness. He was proud of his son for the father he had become.

Steve was preceded in death by his father, Edwin R King; nephew, Ethan King; grandparents, Robert and Gladys King, Dorothy Rudd and Arnold Hall.

Steve is survived by his son, Ty King (Shane Pickner); his grandson, Tayne; his mother, Annette King; his brother, Jon King (Jennifer); nephews, Matt Kraus and Aaron King; great-nephew Asher Kraus; stepson Brett Hoffman; as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins and dear friends.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the family to help with funeral expenses.
