Sharon Diane deCathelineau, 81, of Rochester, Minnesota passed away peacefully at Arbor Terrace memory care on Monday, November 8, 2021.
Sharon was born May 21, 1940 in Helena, Montana to Kenneth and Helen (Hoffman) Pattridge. She moved to Minnesota around 1943 and resided in Pleasant Grove. Sharon Attended Chatfield High School and enjoyed showing her lambs while in 4H. She graduated in 1958.
She met her husband Pierre (Skip) deCathelineau in 1960 and married on August 26, 1961 at St. John's Lutheran Church in Stewartville.
Sharon worked at First National Bank in Stewartville. They then built a home in Rochester and she worked at Ace Worldwide. Sharon chose riding a bike and walking all year round versus taking a car to work.
She worked for Schuman, Grannahan and Wilson for many years until she retired in 2002.
Her hobbies included gardening, canning her famous pickles, expert Walleye fisherman , playing cards and spending time with her family.
She is survived by her husband of 61 years; sisters, Marlene (Ken) Sabatke of Rochester, Jeannie Vance of San Antonio, Texas and Barb Culberton of Rochester; children, Brian deCathelineau of Rochester and Lori (Mark) Bremer of Lake City; and her precious grandchildren, Matthew and Luke Bremer also of Lake City.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother-in law, Ken Culberton.
The family would like to thank the staff at Arbor Terrace and Seasons Hospice for the great care of Sharon.
The memorial service will held at 12:00 p.m. on Friday, November 12, 2021 in the River Park Chapel at Macken Funeral home with Rev. Lester Horntvedt officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to service. Burial will be in Union Cemetery in Pleasant Grove.
