Scott
Bradley
March 14, 1968 – June 10, 2018
Scott Bradley, 50, currently of St. Paul, died Sunday, June 10, 2018, while Mountain biking near Moab, Utah. He and his family were vacationing in Utah celebrating his parents 55th wedding anniversary. Celebration turned to shock, pain and prayer.
Scott was born March 14, 1968 in Rochester, Minnesota to parents Fran and Mary Bradley. He was the third child, preceded by older brother Al and sister Michele and followed by much younger brother Chris. Scott and his family lived in Kasson, Oronoco and Rochester except for a two year period in Pleasantville, NY, during an IBM assignment for Scott's father. His Rochester roots as a youth run deep.
Scott graduated from John Marshall High School where he also played football. After some college attendance, Scott entered the world of skilled trades. During that time, he spent a few years working in the Denver, Colorado area where he also enjoyed the great outdoors. Returning to Minnesota, he applied his truck driving skills and was currently working as a concrete truck driver for Apple Valley Redi-mix. He had many tales to tell regarding the rigors and risks of driving a huge concrete rig.
Given his love of the outdoors, Scott particularly enjoyed biking and hiking. He loved all seasons in the outdoors. He also took pleasure in riding his motorcycle. Scott was passionate about sports, especially football and hockey. He was an avid movie goer. He also loved his specialty craft beers.
Scott will especially be remembered for his love and support of family. He had a special way with his nieces and nephews, bringing laughter and joy with his frequent friendly jabs. His most special relationship was with his 21 year old nephew, Cullen. Scott was a frequent caregiver and best pal to Cullen, who has muscular dystrophy and is in a wheelchair. They frequented many movies together, especially super hero and Star Wars. They also enjoyed TV series like Seinfeld where they could recite every word together.
Scott will be sorely missed by his surviving parents, Fran and Mary Bradley; along with brother, Al Bradley and wife Robyn (Levine) Bradley; sister, Michele (Bradley) McConnell and husband Jon McConnell; and brother, Chris Bradley. His special buddies (nieces and nephews) include Cullen, Macey, Shay, Adam and Megan.
Memorial Mass for Scott will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, June 18, 2018 at St. Pius X Catholic Church in Rochester with Rev. Russell Scepaniak officiating. Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with a time of sharing starting at 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 17th in the River Park Chapel at Macken Funeral Home and one hour prior to the service at the church on Monday.
