Obituary

Scott Batterson, beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully on September 9, 2025, after a courageous battle with melanoma. He was 66 years old and was born and raised in Rochester, Minnesota. He graduated from John Marshall High School in 1977.

Scott is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Becki Batterson, and their two sons, Nicholas (Emily) and Justin (Anna). He was a proud and devoted grandfather to six grandchildren: Waylon, Eleanor, Olive, Rhea, Audrey, and Everly, who were the light of his life. He is preceded in death by his parents, Tom and Marlene Batterson.

Scott spent his career working in manufacturing, where he was known for his strong work ethic, practical wisdom, and dedication. His colleagues respected him not only for his professional contributions, but also for his kindness and steady presence.

Above all, Scott will be remembered for his deep love for his family and his generosity of spirit. He was a man of integrity, humor, and kindness, always willing to lend a helping hand or offer a word of wisdom. He had a profound impact on all who knew him, and his legacy will live on through his family and friends.

Scott is also survived by his sister, Marcy Aakre, and his brother, Bruce Batterson, along with many extended family members and close friends who will deeply miss him.

A celebration of Scott's life will be held at his and Becki's home on Saturday, September 20, 2025, from 2:00 to 6:00 p.m. All who knew and loved him are welcome to attend and share in remembering a life well lived.

Scott's family extends their heartfelt thanks to the doctors, nurses, and caregivers who supported him during his battle with melanoma.
