Ryland "Ry" Moustafa Kamel, age 30 of Rochester passed away on June 5, 2012 at his home.

Ryland was born on December 16, 1981 in Winona, MN. He grew up in Rochester, attending school, and earning his GED. He spent time traveling around the country with his extended family working in the entertainment business.

After the birth of his daughter, he was blessed with the opportunity to care for his children fulltime.

Ry had a big heart and loved people. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He also enjoyed music, sports and reading.

He is survived by his two children, Aaliyah (5) and Koraan (3), his parents, Mary (Solem) and Abdelfatah "Moose" Kamel, and aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by two sets of grandparents (Ry and Phyllis Solem and Moustafa Kamel and Naima Ghonaim), an Aunt and Uncle (Karen and Jim White.)

A celebration of Ry's life will be held in the River Park Chapel at Macken Funeral Home at 11:00AM on Monday, June 11, 2012. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Burial will be at St. Felix Cemetery in Wabasha, Minnesota.
