The funeral for Ruth S. Maasch will be at 11:00am Friday, February 8, 2013 at River Park Chapel, Macken Funeral Home with Rev. James Heining officiating.  Burial will be in Grandview Memorial Gardens.  The visitation will be one hour prior to the service on Friday.

Ruth S. Maasch, 85 of Rochester passed away on February 4, 2013 at Golden Living Center East in Rochester of natural causes.

Ruth S. (Thoe) was born on March 28, 1927 near Rock Dell Township to Selmer and Regina (Bolstad) Thoe.  She married Herbert A. Maasch on April 10, 1948 in Rochester, MN.  Herbert passed away in 1998.  Ruth enjoyed listening to country music, dancing and spending time with her family.

Survivors include her children Carmen (Bob) Riggott of Stewartville and Dennis Maasch of Rochester; three grandchildren and several great grandchildren; one brother Donald (Aleta) Thoe of Lake City; one sister Lois (John) Wilder of Phoenix, AZ.   She is preceded in death by her husband; one daughter, Linda Kindschy; four brothers; and two sisters.
