Obituary

Ross Price Flippin, 73 of Rochester, passed away unexpectedly while on a family vacation in Branson, MO on May 4, 2026.

Ross was born on June 28, 1952 in Junction City, KS to Joseph William and Maxine Luverne Flippin. He graduated from Salina Kansas High School in 1970. After meeting his future wife, Kathy Guy, on a ski trip in CO, he decided to move to Rochester. On October 14, 1983 they were married in Rochester at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. Soon thereafter, he obtained his Realtor's License. Ross began working for Realty World, later renamed Buy-Rite TCF. Ross loved to read and especially loved and followed the Denver Broncos. He was also an avid collector of baseball and football cards. He was loving husband and father and especially enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren where many memories were made while watching SpongeBob SquarePants. He was also known as the "Duct Tape King".

Ross is survived by his wife Kathy of Rochester, his children Karissa Flippin of Chatfield, Spencer (Shauna) Flippin of Zumbrota, grandchildren Jasmine, Jordan, Lily, Dahlia, Finn, Alice, Logan (Belle), Cooper, Gracie, Jacob, and great-granddaughter Kora.

He is preceded in death by his parents, his sister Opal, brother Charles, and granddaughter Violet.

The Celebration of Life for Ross will be held on Wednesday, May 27, 2026 from 1:00PM until 4:00PM in the River Park Chapel at Macken Funeral Home.
