Rose was born March 26, 1935 to Harold and Phyllis Schuld Laufenberg on a snowy night in Marshfield, Wisconsin. She graduated from Bay View High School in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. She was preceded in death by her parents, sisters, Patricia (Norbert) LeRoy and Barbara Ellen and brothers, Michael and Jeffery.
