Roger Gorden Ward, 67 of Rochester, passed away naturally at St. Marys Hospital on May 17, 2018.

Roger was born on February 27, 1951 in Lake City, MN to Loyd and Myrna (Gruhlke) Ward. At the age of eleven, his family moved to Rochester. He graduated from Mayo High School in 1969. Following high school he enlisted in the US Army and spent two years in Germany. Upon returning home, he had numerous business interests, including a share in the Alibi Inn Bar, and Associated Auto Parts. Following retirement, he enjoyed helping bar patrons get a safe ride home. Roger loved animals throughout his entire life. He will forever be remembered as the man with the pet chinchilla on his shoulder.

He is survived his wife Deb of Rochester, his children: Jennifer (Chris) Rose of Arizona, Brian Ward of Rochester, Melissa (Tommy) Gay of Oklahoma, Kevin Ward of Oregon, Kim Gustine of Rochester, three sisters, a brother, twelve grand-children, and one great-grandchild on the way.

Roger's wish was to be cremated, and a celebration of his life will be planned for a later date.
