Roger Buxton, 78, of Rochester, passed away Monday February 6 ^th , 2012 at his home.

Roger was born on April 18, 1933 to (Thomas) Richard and Leta (Mason) Buxton in Lake View, Iowa.  He spent most of his adult life as a highway supervisor for MnDOT.  He retired in 1992.

On October 4 ^th , 1958, he married Audrey Kaldenberg.  They had 2 sons together.  Audrey died in 1990.  Roger married Florence Hewitt (Campbell) on February 13, 2002.

Survivors include his two sons, Curt (Jen) Buxton of Rochester, Doug Buxton of Wisconsin, as well as Susan M. Wood of Chatfield, Eddy Knutson of Lanesboro, Roy Hewitt of Rochester, Julie (Jeff) Norby of Lanesboro, and Donna Hewitt (Randy) of Byron, 10 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, February 8 ^th from 5 p.m. to 7p.m. at The River Park Chapel at Macken Funeral Home and 1 hour prior to the service.  The funeral will be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday, February 9 at The River Park Chapel at Macken Funeral Home with the Rev. Linda Helberg officiating.  Burial will be held in Woodlawn Cemetery in Stewartville.
