Rocky was born September 28, 1954, in Rochester, MN to Brink and Marion Sheldon. He graduated from Mayo High School in 1973. On August 3, 1974, he married Julie Benson in Stewartville, MN. The couple lived in Rochester. Rocky worked for Olmsted County as heavy equipment operator for 45 years.

Rocky loved working on his family's cars and taking care of his lawn. His greatest love was his four grandkids-Samson, Willem, Sylvia, and Frankie, they all know of him as their Bumpa.

Rocky is survived by his wife, Julie; daughter Shannon (Steven) Moore of Rochester; son Matt Sheldon (Jess) of Minneapolis, and dog Sushi.

Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, June 8, at Macken Funeral Home. Visitation will be held at 10 a.m. before the service.
