Robert John Steinhaus, 85, of Rochester, passed away Tuesday, November 6, 2018 at The Homestead at Rochester.

Robert was born September 16, 1933 in Fairfax, MN to Ferdinand and Lila (Streich) Steinhaus. On November 28, 1964, he married Bette Meine in St. Paul. Bette passed away on November 23, 1983. He married Dorothy Felske on February 4, 1989 in Rochester. Dorothy passed away on May 23, 2007.

Robert worked at Hosanna Lutheran Church where he was a member of the church. He later retired in 2008. He was a member of the Moose Lodge in South St. Paul.

Survivors include his children, Roger (Jan) Meine, Brad (Val) Felske, Judy (Willie) Kass, Diana Felske, Joanne (Sam) Jenkins, Janice (Ron) Lindemoem, David Felsek, Pat (Russ) Schwartz; and special friend, Arlene.

He was preceded in death by wife, Dorothy; his parents; stepdaughter, Linda Felske; and siblings; Dallas, Delmar, Gordon, and Lois Steinhaus, and Beverly Altmann and Florence Sandgren.

Memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 24, 2018 at Hosanna Lutheran Church with Pastor Bill Meiers officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church.

Memorials are preferred to Hosanna Lutheran Church or Channel One Food Bank.
