Obituary

Robert Wayne Ruble, 73, of Rochester died peacefully surrounded by his family on Tuesday, August 14, 2018 at his home due to failing health.

Robert was born on February 5, 1945 to Charles Sr. and Cecelia (Larson) Ruble in Albert Lea, MN. He was the sixth out of nine children. In 1963, Robert graduated high school in Spring Valley MN. On August 26, 1965, he married Jane Klompenhower. Robert retired from Anderson Memorials as a manger where he worked for 25 years.

His interests included old time radio and he helped start Rochester Radio Theater Guild. Many people may recognize his voice from being the radio personality of the show on KNXR called Tune in Tuesday. Robert Loved music and he loved to see his favorite cowboys, Ryders in the Sky, in concert. As a young boy, he grew up loving comic books which also grew into a passion of his. At one point, he opened his own comic book store called Bosco's Books.

Bob was a movie buff. You could ask him just about anything from any movie and he'd know the answer. Bob had so many friends that everywhere he went, he knew somebody. He was a nice guy with the greatest sense of humor; he always had a good joke. Bob was also a die-hard Vikings fan, supporting them through good or bad seasons.

To Bob, family meant everything. He is survived by his wife, Jane; daughters, Coleen (Raul) Guzman, Carrie (Joe) Dechamps; and daughter-in-law, Mary Lewis Ruble. His pride and joy were his seven grandchildren, Cecelia Ruble, Melanie Guzman, Abbie Dechamps, Zachary Robert Ruble, Andrew Dechamps, Bryce Guzman, and Eli Robert Dechamps. He is also survived by four brothers, Charles (Molly) Ruble, Bruce Ruble, Pete (Mary Jane) Ruble, and Karl (Cheryl) Ruble. He was preceded in death by his son, Chad Ruble; sister, Charlotte Vandekamp; and brothers, Henry Ruble, Roger Ruble, and Doug Ruble.
