Obituary

Robert William "Doc" Oelslager passed away Sunday at his home surrounded by family.  He was born July 1st. 1924, in Fergus Falls Mn.  After Graduating from Fergus Falls High School in 1942, he went to work for the FBI in Washington D.C.

On March 21, 1944 He was inducted into the United States Army at Fort Snelling, Minnesota, and received training at Camp Hood, Texas, Camp McCall, North Carolina, and Fort Benning, Georgia.  His Overseas duty was spent in the Philippine Islands, and Hokkaido and Tokyo, Japan.

After his discharge from Service, he entered the Northwestern Chiropractic College in Minneapolis, MN.  and graduated in 1950.  He practiced in St. Cloud, Minnesota for 3 years before moving to Rochester, Minnesota where he spent 51 years as a Chiropractor, retiring January 1, 2002.

He was an avid Scouter for 55 years.

He leaves behind a loving family and many admiring friends.

A memorial service will be at 7:00pm Thursday February 18, 2010 at Macken Funeral Home in Rochester.  Friends may call from 4:00pm until the time of the service on Thursday.  Burial will be at Ft. Snelling National Cemetery in Minneapolis.

Memorials are suggested to the Gamehaven Council, Boy Scouts of America, Rochester, MN.
