On Sunday, April 26, 2020, Robert "Bob" Drake, husband, father, and grandfather, passed away at age 73.

Bob was born on December 31, 1946 in Fargo, ND to Francis and Sarah (Plank) Drake. He was a strong-willed person who lived life his way and was always willing to help his family, friends, and neighbors. On May 26th, 1972, he married Marla Drewes Drake and together they raised one son, Dirk.

Bob had an incredible ability to fix anything that was broken, from cars to electronics, with nothing more than his own mind. He had a passion for nature and enjoyed fishing and photographing the animals who visited his home. Bob could often be found tinkering in his garage or maintaining his yard and helped others with their projects as often as he worked on his own. He loved watching the Vikings and the Gophers and was a passionate Nascar fan. Full of stories and humor, Bob was quick with a joke and never found a time when laughter was inappropriate. He spoke his mind, was never afraid of sharing his opinion, and was incredibly supportive of his family.

Bob was preceded in death by his father, Francis; his mother, Sarah; and his sister Vera.

He is survived by his wife, Marla; son, Dirk (Tricia Meyers); grandchildren, Brenden (Haley Cobb) and Hunter; his brothers, Wes (Monica) and Ed (Sue); and his sister, Kay.
