Robert "Bob" Simenson, 66, died Saturday March 1, 2014, at Mayo Clinic Hospital-Saint Marys Campus.

Bob was born February 9, 1948, in Decorah, IA, to Earl and Beatha Simenson. Bob graduated from Decorah High School in 1966. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1966 until 1972. He worked at St. Marys Hospital until 1989 when he was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis.

Bob had many passions in his life. He loved classical music, reading, poetry, history, and building model ships.

Bob is survived by his brothers, Gary (Ann) Simenson of Chatfield, Richard Simenson of Plymouth, MN, and David Simenson of Chatfield. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews, Cindy Feeser of Rochester, Lori (Steve) Winter of Wykoff, Jody Simenson of Chatfield, Jon (Maria) Simenson of Stewartville, and Shari (Joseph) Fischer of Rochester.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Ronald.

A visitation will take place from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. on Thursday, March 6 at Macken Funeral Home, River Park Chapel in Rochester, MN. Burial will take place in the spring in Decorah, IA
