Obituary

Richard C. Sullivan, age 80 of Lewiston, passed away peacefully at the Lewiston Villa, where he resided for the past fourteen years.

Richard was born on August 26, 1932 in Rochester to William J. and Catherine (O'Neill) Sullivan. Richard worked on the family farm until enlisting in the US Marine Corps in 1952. He served his country during the Korean Conflict. Due to a service related injury, he was forced to return to Rochester in 1953.  Richard required medical attention for the remaining years of his life. During his final fourteen years, while residing at the Lewiston Villa, he received superior attention and excellent care.

Richard is survived by three sisters, Lucille Schroeder of Fredericksburg, TX, Helen Aarsvold of Rochester and Catherine Merritt of Grand Prairie, TX.

He is preceded in death by a sister, Mary Rescigno of Boston, MA, four brothers, Gerald, Robert, Raymond, and Alan.

A memorial service for Richard will be held at 2:00pm at the Lewiston Villa of Lewiston, MN on Sunday, October 28, 2012. Burial of his ashes will be in the St. Bridget's Catholic Cemetery at a later date.

The family prefers memorials to be written to the Lewiston Villa of Lewiston, MN.
