Richard Beryl "Scottie" Fisher, 75, of Rochester, MN died Wednesday, June 22, 2011 at Saint Marys Hospital due to complications of pneumonia. Scottie, as he was known to everybody, was born June 6, 1936 in Bloomington, IL. He was an only child whose parents died when he was 19 years of age.
Scottie was a proud veteran who served in the Army during the Korean War. He worked as a salesman for a Rochester radio station. He loved music and always had a song to sing especially tunes from the 50's. He was an avid sports fan and had fond memories of coaching little league baseball. He wore with pride his favorite team caps the Minnesota Twins and the Chicago Cubs.
He will be missed by his many friends who he touched with his compassion and kindness. He loved people and God and lived by the motto "why worry when you can pray."
