Richard "Rick" Lee Maas 59, of Rochester died Thursday June 9 ^th after suffering a heart attack at his son's residence. He was born April 29, 1951 in Hayfield, MN. He graduated from Hayfield High School.  He married Sandra Wiley on October 18 ^th 1974, she survives. They were married 24 years, and together had three children who survive: Julie (Troy) Kuball of Pine Island, Sarah Maas and Evan Maas of Rochester. He is also survived by two brothers, Jack (Bev) Maas of Parker, CO. and Tom (Donna) Maas of Austin, MN, a sister, Mary (Robert) Keske of Claremont, MN, a significant other Karen Wallin of Mankato, 3 grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He is preceeded in death by his parents Clarence and Dorthy (Petersen) Maas, two brothers, Bill and Darrell, and a sister, Margaret "Peg" Loverink. Rick loved hunting, karaoke, metal detecting, and especially spending time with his friends and family. He always had a good story to tell. A funeral service will be held on Monday, June 14, 2010 at 2:30PM at Macken Funeral Home. A private burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery.
