Richard Roy Aug, 90, of Rochester, died peacefully at home on June 08, 2024.
Richard was born in Preston, MN on December 16, 1933 to Gustave & Anna (Sikkink) Aug. He was a 1951 graduate of Preston High School. Upon graduation he worked at the Preston Creamery before proudly serving our country in the US Army from April 18, 1957 until April 9, 1959. On May 5, 1962, Richard was united in marriage to Carol Mae Jacobson at Christ Lutheran Church in Preston. Richard and Carol were blessed with three sons, Kyle, Craig and Gary. He worked at IBM in Rochester from January 4, 1960 until his retirement on August 1, 1991. Richard was the epitome of devotion. He was not only devoted to his family but he was a devoted servant to God. Richard served as a deacon at Church of The Savior, now known as Rochester Community Church. He showed his love of Christ by helping others, and putting others before himself. He loved working in his garden and watching his grandchildren play sports. Richard loved all sports, and he was a member of the IBM Quarter Century Club.
Richard is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Carol Mae Aug, a devoted father to his three sons, Kyle (Nancy) of Lakeville, Craig (Sarah) of Pine Island and Gary (Christine) of Nolensville, TN, and a treasured grandpa to Michael (Jessica) Aug, Suzie Aug, Miranda (Ryan) Borgwardt, Robyn Aug, Brendan Aug, Natalie Aug, Nicholas Aug, Madison Aug, Haley Aug, Morgan Aug and Miles Aug and to great-grandchildren, Bennett Aug, Jackson Aug, Charlotte Borgwardt, Wyatt Aug, Olivia Borgwardt and Natalia Borgwardt. Richard is also survived by his sister, Faye Alden. He was preceded in death by granddaughter, Meghan; sisters, Alberta and Kaye, and by his brothers, Donald, Charles, and Conrad.

A Memorial service will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 12, 2024 at the Rochester Community Church, 971 16 th St. SE, Rochester. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until time of the service.
