Paul Tennis died September 13, 2014 at his residence.  Paul was born on August 15, 1942 in St. Paul, Minnesota to Lowell and Orvilda Tennis.  He graduated from Austin High School, obtained his B.S. Degree from Mankato State College and his Masters Degree from Winona State College.  He taught elementary education in the Rochester Public Schools for 38 years.  Paul married Sharon Tverberg on June 20, 1964. They had a son Marc.  They were later divorced.  On October 16, 1992, Paul married Deborah.

Paul was preceded in death by his parents.  He is survived by his wife, Deborah; son, Marc, a grandson, a brother, Richard (Margo); nephews and a niece; mother-in-law, Janette Benson; sisters-in-law, Virginia Carr and Barbara Schafer.

A celebration of his life will be held on Friday, September 19, 2014 at 11:00am in the River Park Chapel at Macken Funeral Home with Pastor Adam Koglin officiating.  Visitation will be held Thursday, September 18th, from 5 to 7pm in the River Park Chapel at Macken Funeral Home and one hour prior to the service on Friday.  A private family burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to Mayo Clinic Cancer Research, Redeemer Lutheran Church or to the charity of choice.
