The memorial service for Paul James Gibbons will be 11:00 a.m. Friday April 8, 2011, at River Park Chapel at Macken Funeral Home, with Rev. Harry Jewison officiating. Visitation will be held one hour before  the service at River Park Chapel on Friday.

Mr. Gibbons, 82 of Rochester, formerly of Fairbanks, Alaska, died April 3, 2011 at St. Marys Hospital in Rochester, MN.

Paul was born February 25, 1929 in Edina, Missouri to Patrick and Josephine (Weber) Gibbons. He married Wanda Lou Parrish and they later divorced. Paul has lived in Fairbanks, Alaska since 1982 and just recently moved back to Rochester four months ago. In his younger days he worked for Caterpillar in Illinois, although most of his working life he was a self employed plumber.

Survivors include his three son's Darrell (Joy) of Rochester, Dennis Gibbons of Cloverdale, CA., and Terry (Dianna) of Palm Springs, Ca. He also is survived by six grandchildren, Kimberly, Krista, Karinn, Cory, Kayla, and Kalen. He also has 9 Great Grandchildren. His brother Charles Gibbons of Edina, Missouri also survives, as well as many friends in Alaska. Paul was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Wanda Lou, a son Steven Gibbons, 3 sisters and 2 Brothers
