Paul Francis Caflisch of Chatfield, MN passed away October 30, 2015 at the age of 70.  He was born November 24, 1944 in Rochester, MN and raised in Simpson, MN.

Paul graduated from John Marshall Senior High School in Rochester.  He studied music at Rochester Junior College and Winona State College.

Paul was very well known for his tenor voice.  He was a former member of various choruses in Rochester.  He performed in musicals, concerts and also auditioned for the Metropolitan Opera Company.

He carried his love of opera into his occupation as a carpenter.  He sang on the job while building and remodeling homes to the delight of his customers.

He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Patricia (Palley) Caflisch, his sister Mary Ann Jack of Chatfield, MN, brothers George (Shorty) (Darlene)  Caflisch of Rochester, MN, Robert (Mary Jane)Caflisch of Wrangler, CO, and Charles Caflisch of Rochester, MN, his aunt Alice Schleusner of Stewartville, MN, his cousins, nieces and nephews, brother-in-law Michael (Joyce) Gordon of Long Beach, CA, sister-in-law Kyleen Gordon-Benson of Appleton, WI.

He is preceded in death by his parents George and Ida Caflisch of Simpson, MN and sister Rita Caflisch of Simpson, MN.

Visitation will be held Thursday, November 5 ^th at 10:00am followed by a service at 11:00am at River Park Chapel, Macken Funeral Home, 1105 12 ^th Street S.E., Rochester, MN.  Father Paul Nelson will be officiating.  In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the American Heart Association.
