Patrick Jay "Pat" Ryan, 72 of Rochester, passed away on January 25, 2026 at his home.

Pat was born on May 24, 1953 in Rochester to Jaque and Jeanine (Schad) Ryan. He graduated from Lourdes High School in 1972. On July 25, 1981 he marred Joanne DeFosse at the Historic Plummer House. Pat went on to successfully own and operate Rochester Electric. He was known for his strong work-ethic and dedication to his craft. Pat was a devoted husband, father, brother and grandfather. He was a lifelong Rochester resident who took great pride in his community and the people within it.

He is survived by his wife Joanne of Rochester, children Ashley Ryan, Jason (Meghan) Ryan, grandson Hayes and six siblings.

He is preceded in death by his parents.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to a charity of donor’s choice.

A celebration of life for Pat will be held on Friday, November 6, 2026 from 5:00PM until 8:00PM at the Rochester Eagles Club (917 15th Ave SE Rochester, MN 55904). 

Macken Funeral Home assisted the family with cremation only, and will not be present at the Celebration of Life.
