Patrick “Pat” Hrabe – Rochester
Patrick “Pat” Francis Hrabe, 56 of Rochester, passed away peacefully at home, on June 27, 2026, surrounded by his family.
Patrick was born on October 14, 1969, in Rochester to Jerry and Patricia (Belsher) Hrabe. He graduated from Lourdes High School in 1988, where he played football and was involved in other sports activities. He married Tami Plemel on June 5, 1999, at Church of the Resurrection Catholic Church in Rochester. Patrick enjoyed nature, hunting, (but never killing anything) and just being in the peaceful beauty of the woods. Patrick loved rock music, especially Pink Floyd, Eric Clapton, Grateful Dead, Bruce Springstein and others. He saw many of these artists live in concert.
He became an accomplished downhill skier while attending the Colorado Institute of Music.
Ultimately, Pat became a painter and worked for Hirshfield’s and Sherwin Williams locally. He had an astute eye for mixing paints and could determine when a few drops of color had been missed. Another hobby was woodworking. He appreciated the beauty of wood, taking pride in finishing each piece to reflect the uniqueness of the grain.
He especially loved his dogs, Robyn, Duke, Shadow who we hope are romping with him now. He leaves his beloved labradoodle Ginger.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife Tami, two stepsons Daniel and Benjamin Prigge, grandson Skylur, his parents Jerry and Patricia, his sister Jennifer Hrabe (Noel Carver) of Iowa City, IA, his uncles, aunts, and cousins.
He is preceded in death by his stepson Will Prigge, his grandparents Elmer and Catherine Hrabe, Orval and Pauline Belsher of Saskatchewan, Canada, his aunt Rosalie, uncle Terry, and aunt Koyla.
The Memorial Service for Patrick will be held on Saturday, July 11, 2026, at 2:00pm in the River Park Chapel at Macken Funeral Home officiated by Dr. Peggy Johnson. Visitation will be held starting one hour prior to the service, at the chapel.
Memorials are preferred to Paws and Claws of Rochester and Camp Companion.
