Patricia “Patty”
Lynn Delaney
September 25, 1958 – January 6, 2026
It is with heavy hearts and cherished memories that we announce the passing of Patricia Lynn Delaney, a devoted wife, mother, sister, grandmother, great grandmother (Gigi), and friend, who left us on January 6, 2026, at the age of 67. Born in Harmony, MN, on September 25, 1958 to James and Geraldine (Worden) Ferguson, Patricia brought joy and warmth to those around her throughout her life.
A graduate of Chatfield High School, having the nickname Pete. Patty then married her beloved husband Richard "Dick" Delaney in 1977. They then went to Germany for two years while Dick was in the Army. Together, they raised two daughters, Angie and Jenna, who grew up under the nurturing embrace of a mother whose love was boundless. She found immense joy in her role as a grandmother, devoted to her granddaughter Mckayla Delaney and her great-grandchildren, Serenity, Octivia, Theodore, and Eden. Family was always her top priority, and she cherished every moment spent with her grandchild and great-grandchildren.
Patty's passions were as vibrant and spunky as her feisty Irish spirit. She found solace and joy in crafting, beading, sewing, tie dyeing, painting, camping, gardening flowers, and bird watching. Her love for the outdoors and her long-haired dachshunds was evident to all who knew her. Patty's creativity and love for life touched the hearts of many, and her legacy will be carried on by those who knew and loved her.
She is survived by her husband, Richard; daughters, Angie and Jenna (Jason Peaslee); granddaughter, Mckayla (Matt Hendrix) ; 4 great-grandchildren; sisters Judy Priebe and Ann (Dean) Onsgard; brothers-in-law Jerry (Gail), Jack (Mary), and Tom (Kjirstin) Delaney; and numerous nieces and nephews. Patricia is preceded in death by her parents, James and Geraldine Ferguson, her in-laws J. Lyman and Eileen Delaney, her brother-in-law Robert Delaney, and nephews Butch, Devin, and Ben.
In celebration of the remembrance of Patricia's life, a Memorial Mass will be held in the River Park Chapel at Macken Funeral Home at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 17 2026, with visitation one hour prior to the service. Her family invites all who knew and loved Patricia to join them in honoring her memory and the warmth she brought to the lives of so many.
Patricia Lynn Delaney will forever be remembered for her love, kindness, and the beautiful impact she had on the world around her. May she rest in peace, surrounded by her cherished family members whom she loved so deeply.
