Patricia Kay Long (Daly) of Austin, MN passed away on December 9, 2024, in St. Paul, MN.

Pat was born in Austin, MN on March 31, 1942, to Guy and Kathryn Daly (Anderson). She was a graduate of Pacelli High School and shortly thereafter moved to Rochester, MN where she met and married her husband James K. Long. Pat was a homemaker and when her children were older, she became a Licensed Practical Nurse, then dedicated her life caring for children.

Words cannot express all that Pat was to her family and friends. She was unconditional love, acceptance, and living in the moment. She found joy in laughter, shopping, and spending time with her sisters, often doing all three at once. She dedicated her life to caring for others.  Her legacy lives on in all the lives she influenced as a mother, grandmother, daycare provider and nanny.

Eternal gratitude to her sisters, who were her closest friends and allies, Brighton Hospice, and the devoted staff at Willows of Ramsey Hill in St. Paul.

She is preceded in death by her husband James Long and daughter Karen Allen. She is survived by her children Jefferson Long (Kaia), Craig Long, Ann Long (Michael Khan), and grandchildren Ariana Allen, Emma Long, Anders Long (Rachel), Josephine Khan, Ethan Khan, great-grandchild Jayden Celius, and her sisters Marilynn Wellman (Daly), Colleen Daly, Mary Quinn (Daly), and JoAnn Daly.

A Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, December 14, 2024, in the River Park Chapel at Macken Funeral Home with a visitation one hour prior to the service.
