Obituary

Patricia "Patsy" Claire Reitemeier (Mulligan) passed away peacefully on March 14, 2017 at the age of 91. Patsy was born in Denver, Colorado on December 7, 1925, the daughter of Claire and Dean Mulligan. She graduated from St. Mary's High School in 1943 and attended the Denver University, earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in English, where she was named "Sun Bowl Princess" in 1947.

Growing up, Patsy was an avid skier, and never lost her love of the Colorado mountains. She taught English and grammar at Cole Junior High School in Denver for 4 years.  She moved to Rochester, Minnesota after her wedding to Dr. Richard J. Reitemeier in 1951. She was active in St. John the Evangelist's women's group, St. Celestine; PEO and elder care. She traveled the world with her family and friends, visiting every continent except Antarctica.

She is survived by her children, Paul J. Reitemeier, Joseph (Patricia) Reitemeier, Susan (Jeff) VanVonderen, Robert (Pamela) Reitemeier, Patrick (Diane Nordquist) Reitemeier and Daniel (Wendy) Reitemeier; 14 grandchildren; and 2 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Richard Reitemeier; her daughter, Mary "Lou" Reitemeier; her brother, David Mulligan and her sister Josephine Daigle.

A memorial Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 25, at Charter House in Rochester. The Reitemeier family expresses their deep gratitude to the Charter House staff and Seasons Hospice for their wonderful care and dedication.
