Nuria Jumaevna Thusius, M.D.

May 4, 1975 to July 15, 2019

In memory of a beautiful wife, loving mother and beloved colleague, Mrs. Nuria Thusius passed away July 15, 2019.  She died in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan while visiting her father, Juma Turganbaev and mother, Jyldyz Sultanbekova.

Nuria was born May 4, 1975 in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan.  She completed her first residency in Dermatology from Kyrgyz State Medical Institute for Continuing Education in 1999.  In 2002, she moved to the United States with her husband, Patric Thusius.  Between 2010 and 2015, she completed her residency and fellowship in Psychiatry at Mayo Clinic, Mayo Graduate School of Medicine.  Since 2015, she worked as a Psychiatrist with Mayo Clinic.

Nuria is survived by her husband, Patric Thusius; three beautiful children, Erika, Eduard and Aiden; parents, Juma Turganbaev and Jyldyz Sultanbekova; brother, Marat; and sister, Alia.

We shall never be so lucky again to be graced by her presence.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to her children, Erika, Eduard and Aiden.

A celebration of Nuria's life will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday August 1, 2019 in the River Park Chapel at Macken Funeral Home with Corinne Thul officiating. A reception will be held immediately following the service until 2 p.m. in the chapel.
