Nicholas "Nick" Hedberg - Rochester

Nicholas "Nick" Drew Hedberg, 79 of Rochester, passed away peacefully at his home on January 17, 2026.

Nick was born March 13, 1946 in Red Wing, MN to Andrew and Avis (Harper) Hedberg. He graduated from Rochester High School in 1964. Soon thereafter, he began working for IBM. He married Linda Lund, and to this union, two sons were born. The couple later divorced. He retired from IBM in the mid 1990's and later worked for Mayo Clinic in Computer Support. Nick enjoyed fishing, golfing with friends, and especially spending time with his grandchildren.

He is survived by his sons Tony (Jenny) of St. Paul, John (Nora) of Mexico, grandchildren Andy, Lily, and his loving partner Carole Mataya of Rochester.

He is preceded in death by his parents, and his brother Dan.

The Memorial Service for Nick will be held on Saturday, June 27, 2026 at 11:00AM in the River Park Chapel at Macken Funeral Home. Visitation will begin starting at 10:00AM in the chapel. Burial will be at Oakwood Cemetery in Rochester.
