The funeral for Myrtle Rupkalvis will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, August 9 at Redeemer Lutheran Church in Rochester with the Rev. Rance Settle officiating.  Burial will be in Grandview Memorial Gardens in Rochester.  Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Monday, August 8 at the Macken Funeral Home River Park Chapel and for one hour prior to the service at the church on Tuesday.

Mrs. Rupkalvis, 91, of Rochester, died Friday, August 5 at Seasons Hospice.

Myrtle was born September 7, 1919 in Rochester to Louis and Ida Tradup.  She graduated from Rochester High School in 1937.  On October 8, 1938 she married Arthur R. Rupkalvis at Trinity Lutheran Church.  The couple lived in Rochester since their marriage.

Myrtle retired from Mayo Clinic in 1984 where she was employed for 14 years.

Survivors include one sister, Francis Martin of Apple Valley, MN; three daughters, Adrienne (Jack) Anderson of Jacksonville, FL, Susan (Kenneth) Cutsforth of Branson, MO, and Barbara (Dale) Carder of Warensburg, MO; two sons, LaVerne (Rosenne) of El Paso, TX and Gordon (Laurie) of Rochester, MN.  She is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her husband, one sister and two brothers.

Myrtle enjoyed sewing, crocheting, golfing and being with her family.

Memorials are preferred to Redeemer Lutheran Church in Rochester.
