Morris Raymond Haynes – Stewartville MN

It is with profound sadness that I announce the death of my best friend and long-time partner, Morris Raymond Haynes. Morris (Ray) died November 21,2024, at home, after a short illness with cancer. He was born on September 7, 1944, to Earl Haynes and Gertrude (Wells) Haynes in Newport News, Virginia. Morris learned carpentry from his father at a very young age, and worked in various forms of construction for most of his adult life. He was highly regarded by his peers in the field, for his mastery of the craft. Not only was Morris an accomplished carpenter, he also loved to grind stumps, which occupied much of his time later in life, right up to the time of his death. Morris is survived by his partner of 50 years, Jane Haynes, his beloved German Shepard, Lulu, brother Earl Haynes and Juanita, sister Ellen Ford, sister Susan Nichols and John, brother Sam Haynes, sister Nancy Jones, and sister Linda Spinner and Tony. Morris was preceded in death by his parents and brothers Donald Haynes and David Haynes.
