Obituary

Mong Quang Do, 88, of Rochester MN passed away peacefully at his home on August 31, 2022 surrounded by his loving family.

A native of Phu Xuyen, Ha Noi, Vietnam, Mong migrated to South Vietnam in 1954 at the age of 20. He married his wife, Tuoi Tran, at the age of 37. They were blessed with 4 children. The family eventually migrated to Rochester MN and have resided here for the last 30 years.

He is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Tuoi Tran; two daughters, Quynh Do (Kenny) and Tram Do (Chad) of Rochester MN; a son, Truong Do of Rochester MN, and three grand-daughters, (Gabrielle, Emmalyn, Gianna) who brought him countless laughters and precious time together. He is also survived by many loving nephews and nieces in Vietnam.

The funeral will be held at 11:00 am on September 10, 2022 (with viewing at 10:00 am) at Resurrection Catholic Church of Rochester MN, followed by burial at Calvary Cemetery. He will be laid to rest next to his oldest daughter Anh Thu Do, who has been waiting for him since July 22, 2008. Visitation will be from 4 pm – 8 pm on September 9, 2022 at Macken Funeral Home in Rochester MN.

The family does not accept donations nor flowers. Instead, please choose a charity of your choice in honor of the deceased.
