Michael Thomas Peyla, 59, passed away peacefully at St. Elizabeth's Health Care Center in Wabasha, MN on June 25th.

Michael was born in 1960 to Thomas and Betty Peyla in Fresno, CA. A few years later the family moved to Rochester. Michael worked for many years at Ability Building Center (ABC) and was "proudly" retired.

Michael was a delightful man who enjoyed music, crafts and summer camp. He was the master of "one-liners". He was never late for a meal – although he would lead you to believe he hadn't eaten in days. He touched all that were close to him and is already missed.

Survivors include his father, Thomas Peyla; siblings, Suzanne, Tony, Timothy (Luzia) and Christina Peyla, Cathy (Mark) Dawson, and Andrea (Dale) Cossette; and nephew, Cody Cossette.

Michael was preceded in death by his mother, Betty Peyla; step mother, Patricia Peyla; and brother, Steven Peyla.

The memorial Mass will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, July 6th at St. Pius X Catholic Church with Father Gregory Parrott and Deacon John Hust officiating. Visitation will be held one hour before the service at the church. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery.
