Michael F. Flynn, 56, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family, at his home on Friday, December 18, following a brief illness.

Mike was born to Robert & Marlene Flynn on September 15, 1953 in Eau Claire, Wisconsin. He grew up in Rochester,  graduated from Mayo High School, and attended Rochester Community College.  He was the owner of Rochester Cycling & Fitness with his brother Steven until 2001. He was most recently employed by Tri-State Business Machines.

On August 6, 1983 he married Denise Cheranko at St. Michael's Church in Indiana. He enjoyed spending time with his three daughters, Brenna, Jennifer, and Tara. He was an avid Green Bay Packers fan, and also enjoyed the outdoors, Nascar racing, music, playing the drums, and motorcycles.

Mike is survived by his wife and daughters; mother Marlene Flynn-Harnack and step-father, Gene Harnack of Rochester; three brothers, Steven (Denise) and Thomas of Rochester, and Brian Jon "BJ" (Imogene)  of Colorado; grandmother Ellen Thorud.  He was preceded in death by his father Robert J Flynn, uncle Richard (Dick) Flynn, and grandparents Mike and Julia Flynn.

The funeral mass will be held 11:00 am Wednesday December 23 ^rd at Holy Spirit Catholic Church (5455 50 ^th Avenue NW) with Father Donald Schmitz officiating. Visitation will be from 5pm to 8 pm Tuesday, December 22 , at Macken Funeral Home. Burial will be in Oakwood East Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Mayo Hospice or  St. Marys Hospital  Povarello Fund .
