Mary Margaret Swenson, 92 of Rochester passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on July 11, 2016 at her home. She began a simple country life on July 26, 1923, in Westby, WI, where she learned her many homemaking skills. She married Otis Swenson on February 12, 1943. Living on a dairy farm, they raised seven ambitious children. After moving to Rochester she worked at the Methodist hospital for 23 years. Her great work ethic and strong family ties prolonged her longevity. Her family was blessed for 92 years. She enjoyed quilting, canning, baking, and doing  what a mother and grandmother does best, love her family.

She is survived by five sons, Roland (Boyd,WI), Eldon(Ronda) Swenson, Jeffery Swenson, Gregory (Ellen) Swenson and Jerry(Dawn) Swenson all of Rochester. She is also survived by ten grandchildren and many great-grandchildren. She will be deeply missed by all.

She was preceded in death by her husband Otis, and daughters Sandra and Lorraine. We love you.

The Funeral Service for Mary will be held at 11:00AM on Saturday, July 16, 2016 at Redeemer Lutheran Church in Rochester with Pastor Adam Koglin officiating. Visitation will be held starting at 9:30AM prior to the service at church. Burial will be in Grandview Memorial Gardens Cemetery of Rochester.
